    Janice Galloway studied music and school and university, then somehow became a writer. She is the author of a wide range of multi award-winning works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and has produces a series of collaborative works with musicians, sculptors, painters and typographers. She has been writer in residence at four Scottish prisons, Research Fellow at the British Library and Visiting Professor at Otago University in New Zealand last year. Her newest book – Jellyfish, a short book of short stories – is published this June. The invitation to make this narration for Lichfield is a first.

    She lives in Lanarkshire with one husband who makes the music for her these days.
