    Sam hay image1Samantha Hay studied her Undergraduate at the Birmingham Conservatoire and Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal College of Music.

    Whilst at college she was a winner of the Symphony Hall Recital Competition, the Reginald Vincent Lieder Prize and Cecil Drew Oratorio Prize.

    During 2014-15 season, she performed Queen of the Night & Frasquita (Carmen) for Welsh National Opera.

    In 2013-14 she performed Queen of the Night & covered Hecuba (King Priam) for English Touring Opera; La Modista (Il cappello di paglia di Firenze) for Wexford Opera Festival and Pit Soprano in the UK staging premiere of Wagner Dream. Other roles for WNO include Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Musetta (cover, La Boheme), Angel (cover, Jephtha), Alice Ford (cover, Falstaff), Echo (cover, Ariadne), Karolka (cover, Jenufa), High Priestess (cover, Aida), Fünfzehnjahrige (Lulu) and Slave (Salome).  Samantha has also worked on WNO MAX education productions touring to schools throughout the UK, including Beau in Sweetness and Badness by Will Todd.

    Other operatic roles include Lucia (Rape of Lucretia) for the Hungarian and Latvian Premieres and at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg with Opera Europe; First Lady (Magic Flute) for Kentish Opera; and for the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company she performed Elsie Maynard

    (Yeomen of the Guard), Yum-Yum (Mikado) and Josephine (HMS Pinafore) at the Savoy Theatre. For University College London Opera she sang Alice (Dick Whittington) and performed the title role in Princess Ida for Buxton Opera Festival.

    Samantha is also a regular soloist for a number of choral societies throughout the UK.

    Earlier this year, Samantha toured as Soprano soloist for Raymond Gubbay’s Strauss Gala Concert Tour, travelling throughout the UK, Ireland & Turkey, and is performed Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Priestess (Iphigenie) for English Touring Opera.
